Marco Rubio supporter Rep. Jason Chaffetz swings by Ted Cruz rally for 'oversight'

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) is hitting the campaign trail for Marco Rubio, but not in a typical way.
The chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and Rubio supporter went to Pahrump, Nevada, on Sunday for a Ted Cruz event. Although Chaffetz joked with reporters that he was "just walking by," he later said he was there because Cruz "has a propensity to mislead and not tell the truth, so I find his 'trusted' slogan ironic. I'm just doing a little oversight myself."
Chaffetz has done this before; in 2012, he supported Mitt Romney, and went to several Newt Gingrich events in Florida during the primaries, Time reports.

When Cruz's spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier, spotted Chaffetz, she asked if he was there to switch allegiances, and asked what Cruz could do to win him over. "You can drop out," he quipped. "That'd be great."
