Princes William and Harry rumored to appear as stormtroopers in the next Star Wars movie
Yet another reason to get excited for the next Star Wars movie: Prince William and Prince Harry just might be in it. The British royals are reportedly making a cameo in the upcoming installment as stormtroopers, The Guardian reports. The pair paid a visit to the Pinewood Studios set of Star Wars: Episode VIII last week, where they met with crew members, director Rian Johnson, and cast members Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley, and also spent some time testing out their light saber dueling abilities.
One source tells The Daily Mail that the princes "dressed up in full stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base." "The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of stormtroopers enter — two of whom are William and Harry," the source said. If the rumors are true, William and Harry wouldn't be the first famous figures to play a stormtrooper. James Bond star Daniel Craig played a First Order stormtrooper in the last Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens.
The next installment in the Star Wars series is set for release in December 2017.
