Listen to D'Angelo's moving cover of Prince's 'Sometimes It Snows in April'

The most powerful tributes are often the simplest ones, and for his rendition of "Sometimes It Snows in April," D'Angelo ceded the spotlight to Prince's music and lyrics. He was joined by Princess, Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum's Prince cover band, and the trio took to the Tonight Show stage with nothing more than a piano, a few microphones, and respect for Prince, giving a soulful performance with the slightest of twists toward the end.
