George and Amal Clooney are now parents

George and Amal Clooney are officially parents. The power couple welcomed twins Ella and Alexander Clooney into the world Tuesday morning, USA Today reports. "Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy, and doing fine," the family's publicist said in an email. "George is sedated and should recover in a few days."
Actor George Clooney, 56, married international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, 39, in 2014. The parents had reportedly chosen not to learn their babies' sexes prior to delivery: "I don’t know where this rumor comes from that we're going to have a boy and a girl," George Clooney had said in February. "We ourselves don't know yet and don't want to know."
Ella and Alexander won't be the only new twins in the celeb-o-sphere for long. Beyoncé and her husband, Jay Z, are expecting twins likely sometime in the early summer.
