An unexpected delivery of frozen pizza temporarily shut down an Arkansas highway Wednesday. Pizza pies flew through the sky when a semi-truck carrying DiGiorno and Tombstone pizzas brushed up against a bridge support, busting open its trailer and sending its precious cargo out onto Interstate 30.
The mess of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni made for a lengthy clean-up process. The Associated Press reported that just south of Little Rock, "the westbound section of I-30 was closed for four hours" and the eastbound section was closed "for an hour" while crews cleared the road.
No one was injured in the incident, but Arkansas Department of Transportation spokesman Danny Straessle said "some people were shaken up," perhaps because of the sight of so much lost pizza.
