Fleabag has a big night at the Golden Globes after dominating at the Emmys
After emerging as an Emmys favorite, Fleabag just had another great night at the 2020 Golden Globes.
The series took home the Golden Globe Award on Sunday for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy after its star Phoebe Waller-Bridge also won in the leading actress in a musical or comedy category. Both of these awards were repeats of the Emmys, where Waller-Bridge won and Fleabag took the top comedy prize.
This is the first time the Golden Globes has honored Fleabag in its top comedy category after passing over it during the first season. The show's competition included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Barry.

In accepting the top comedy series prize, Waller-Bridge referenced former President Obama having named Fleabag as one of his favorite shows of 2019.
"Personally, I would like to also thank Obama for putting us on his list," Waller-Bridge said. "As some of you may know, he's always been on mine."
