Hillary Clinton explains how she and Bill aren't 'truly well off'
In the latest installment of the Hillary 2016 waiting game, the former Secretary of State spoke with The Guardian's Ed Pilkington about Karl Rove, scrunchies, and the 90s. And when asked whether she would appear too aloof to connect with average folks should she run again, Clinton rejected the idea.
"But they don't see me as part of the problem," she protests, "because we pay ordinary income tax, unlike a lot of people who are truly well off, not to name names; and we've done it through dint of hard work," she says, letting off another burst of laughter. If past form is any guide, she must be finding my question painful. [The Guardian]
