Its creator, Geneva-based jeweler Mohamed Shawish, calls it "the world's first diamond ring" and he has a point. Unlike standard bands of gold or silver topped by a rock, this solid diamond ring ($70 million) was carved from a single giant stone. The 150-carat wonder, which has been dubbed a "Titanic sinker," took Shawish a year to craft, using both lasers and traditional diamond-cutting techniques. Source: Shawish Jewellery
