Rachel Dolezal stepped down as NAACP chapter president in Spokane, Washington, on Monday following accusations from her family that she has lied about being black. Hours later, a report surfaced that she once sued Howard University, a historically black institution she attended, on the grounds she faced anti-white discrimination.

The Smoking Gun reported Dolezal, then Rachel Moore, sued the university and a professor there on the grounds they denied her a scholarship and multiple teaching posts based on her race, gender, pregnancy, and family responsibilities.
