Investigators are reportedly searching for a possible 8th Paris attacker
A manhunt is reportedly underway Sunday for a potential eighth attacker who may have fled the scene of the Paris attacks, BuzzFeed News reports. On Saturday, authorities found an abandoned black car in Montreuil, an eastern Paris suburb, with three Kalashnikov rifles, the same kind used in Friday night's terrorist attacks, BBC News reports.
Initially, authorities believed eight attackers participated in the series of at least six attacks on a concert hall, soccer stadium, and smaller venues. On Saturday night, French officials announced that seven attackers had died — six by blowing themselves up and one by police shootout, The New York Times reports.
An anonymous French official briefed on the investigation told The Times authorities were searching the Paris area for the potential escaped attacker.
