Voters in New Hampshire lavished with gifts of video players, calculators
If you're a Republican living in New Hampshire, don't be surprised if Marco Rubio and a pro-Jeb Bush super PAC start showering you with gifts.
Members of the Rubio campaign spent Tuesday outside of a pizza parlor in Sanbornville where Ted Cruz was holding an event. In honor of Cruz, they passed out pieces of paper listing the different times he has changed his views on immigration, Edward Snowden, and Syria, as well as actual calculators emblazoned with a Rubio quote: "That is not consistent conservatism, that is political calculation."
Meanwhile, Right to Rise USA, a super PAC supporting Bush, has mailed video players preloaded with a 15-minute Bush documentary called The Jeb Story to a "select universe of influencers, donors, and core supporters" across New Hampshire and Iowa, The Washington Post reports. The PAC wouldn't divulge how much they spent, but one person familiar with the campaign said the players were "amazingly cheap" and cost "far less than a good bottle of scotch."
