John Kasich wonders aloud if it is actually his 'purpose' to become president
Ohio Gov. John Kasich called into question if it is even his purpose to become president during a Q&A at a Georgia town hall event on Tuesday, ABC News reports. Kasich has had a less-than-enthusiastic showing in his two most recent primaries, coming in fifth in Nevada and South Carolina.
"My question to you is: John Kasich, when are you going to live out your purpose Thursday night when you have the national stage? What are you gonna do to stick it to Trump, stick it to Rubio and live out your purpose?" an audience member asked Kasich at Kennesaw State University.
"First of all, I don't know if my purpose is to be president. My purpose is to be out here doing what I think I need to be doing, and we'll see where it ends up," Kasich said.

Kasich expressed a similar sentiment later on Tuesday, adding that he was "following the purpose that I think has been laid out for me" and that he was "not sure exactly what the goal is."
"Some might say it's to be elected president. Maybe it's a different goal. Maybe it's raising the bar and giving people the sense that the world can be a better place, that we can be positive, that we can have solutions. Maybe that's enough," Kasich said.
