Shortly after the remainder of his world tour was abruptly canceled Monday, Kanye West was taken to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation, TMZ reports.

People close to West told TMZ he was being checked by a doctor for severe sleep deprivation when it was decided West needed to be admitted. West was resistant, law enforcement officials told TMZ, and he was restrained when he was transported. During his last few shows, West ranted about everything from the radio playing the same songs "over and over and over" to Jay Z not calling him back.
