On Friday, Minnesota police officer Jeronimo Yanez was found not guilty on all charges in the shooting death of black motorist Philando Castile. Yanez fatally shot Castile during a July 6 traffic stop, after Castille informed the officer he was carrying a legal firearm and then reached toward his hip to take out his driver's license, according to his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds. Yanez says he believed Castile was reaching for his weapon and shot Castile five times.

Reynolds and her 4-year-old daughter were also in the car, and Reynolds live-streamed the incident on Facebook.
