President Trump traveled from Washington to New York City on Saturday to attend fundraising events, and his reception in Manhattan was less than friendly. Protesters chanted "traitor," "Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go," and "Lock him up," the latter a reference to the president's supporters chanting "Lock her up" about his then-rival Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Demonstrators also chanted "Lock him up" at fired National Security Adviser Michael Flynn when he left the courthouse Friday after pleading guilty to lying to the FBI about his contact with a former Russian ambassador.
It is unclear whether the protesters in New York were referring to Trump or Flynn in their chants. Flynn was known for encouraging the chants about Clinton, once remarking that had he done "a 10th of what she did," he "would be in jail today."
