MP Simon Danczuk 'spent night in cells' after fight with wife
Suspended Labour politician led away in handcuffs in Alicante while wife Karen is reportedly taken to hospital
Suspended Labour MP Simon Danczuk reportedly spent a night in a police cell in Spain after a fight with his wife, Karen.
According to The Sun, Danczuk, 49, was led away in handcuffs from the couple's Alicante apartment. His wife, 33, is said to have been taken to hospital with cuts and bruises.
The Daily Telegraph says he spent Sunday night in a police cell and possibly also Monday night because yesterday was a national holiday in Spain.

A neighbour in the apartment block told the Sun: "There was an almighty row... Then he grabbed her phone and threw it in the water.
"She retrieved it, went indoors and shooed him out. He began banging and screaming. Police arrived and led Simon from the house in handcuffs. He had no shirt on and was shouting."
The couple have not commented on the claims.
Danczuk, the elected MP for Rochdale, was suspended from Labour Party over allegations he had sent inappropriate text messages to a 17-year-old. He has admitted his actions were inappropriate and apologised, but said he does not think he deserves disciplinary action.
His wife, whose revealing selfies have earned her tabloid notoriety, said in January that she would stand by him. Since then, however, it has emerged that Danczuk had sex with a 22-year-old woman in his constituency office, although he was single at the time.
A night in the cells was the second dramatic event of Danczuk's weekend: his flight on Saturday was diverted after a suspect package was found on board, says the Daily Mirror.
The MP tweeted about the security alert, writing: "Suspicious package found on plane I'm on from Copenhagen, emergency landing at Dusseldorf. Everyone is fine but they are worrying times."
