Beer: Three robust porters

Baltic and imperial porters are descendants of British brown beers.

Baltic and imperial porters are “beers fit for Nordic nights,” said Daniel Fromson in The Washington Post. “Strong, dark, and elegant,” both are descendants of British brown beers, and both seem to be gaining popularity. “No two are alike,” but Baltic porters are typically dark lagers that feature sweet flavors, and imperial porters feature more “roastiness” and hop bitterness.
