And for those who have everything: The High Roller
Adults finally have a low-riding trike of their own.
The makers of the Big Wheel didn’t think to do it, so the job fell to an aerospace engineer. More than four decades after Big Wheels first appeared under Christmas trees, the High Roller lets adult-size riders in on the fun. Equipped with handlebar tassels, a bell, and thundering plastic tires, it costs almost 12 times as much as a standard Big Wheel. But Matt Armbruster’s version of the low-riding trike does have a sturdy steel frame and is available now. The Big Wheel people, caught off guard, won’t have their own cheaper adult-size edition out until sometime next year.
