In seven seasons, Dexter has delightfully and violently bent television’s boundaries. Sure, Dexter Morgan, Miami cop turned serial killer, is a monster. But hey—he’s handsome and a vigilante, so we root for him. Yet even the most lovable serial killers can’t escape detection forever. Dexter thus begins its final run with the outside world closing in on star Michael C. Hall, as Dexter’s sister mulls turning him in and a serial-killer profiler (Charlotte Rampling) appears to pick up his trail. No matter where the story leads, expect plenty of blood. Sunday, June 30, at 9 p.m., Showtime
