Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are finally officially divorced, bringing an end to 536 days of bitter negotiations that lasted considerably longer than their 72-day marriage. Humphries, who plays for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, reportedly dropped his demands for an annulment—based on his belief he was “defrauded” by the reality TV star into agreeing to a sham marriage—because he “felt sorry” for his visibly pregnant ex. He had reportedly also demanded payment of $7 million, but walked away with nothing so that the case could be resolved in time for the NBA playoffs. Kim will now be able to give birth to her first child with rapper Kanye West in July as a single woman.
