Russell Crowe had to be rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard this week, said HuffingtonPost.com. During a kayaking trip off New York’s Long Island, the Oscar-winning actor, who is currently playing the lead role in a film adaptation of the biblical story of Noah’s Ark, lost his bearings as it got dark. After drifting for hours, Crowe and a friend beached their kayaks 10 miles from where they’d set out and called out to a passing Coast Guard vessel, whose crew gave them a lift to a nearby town.
