Gossip: Mark Zuckerberg
A day after taking his company public, the Facebook founder married his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan.
Mark Zuckerberg’s relationship status has been updated to “married,” said People.com. A day after taking his company public last week, the Facebook founder, 28, tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan. The couple surprised guests, who showed up to the small ceremony in Palo Alto, Calif., thinking they were attending a party for Chan’s recent graduation from medical school. It’s not known whether Zuckerberg and Chan signed a prenuptial agreement. But lawyers say the timing of the wedding makes smart business sense for Zuckerberg. His gain of $20 billion in Facebook’s IPO last week occurred before the marriage—meaning Chan would have no legal claim on it.
