Television’s love affair with the mid-20th century has just added a new weekly assignation. Jeffrey Dean Morgan stars as the proprietor of a luxe Miami hotel in this atmospheric new series, which opens on New Year’s Eve 1958, as a union dispute threatens to shut down a performance by Frank Sinatra. Colorful characters, Mad Men–topping period detail, and plenty of sex make for diverting viewing.
