Brand is facing felony charges after a phone-throwing spat.
Russell Brand is facing felony charges after a phone-throwing spat, said TMZ.com. The comedian and actor, 36, channeled Russell Crowe last week when he wrestled an iPhone out of a paparazzo’s hands and flung it through the window of a nearby law firm. Brand turned himself in to police and was released after posting $5,000 bail. Later, he made light of the incident on Twitter: “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently…what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
