“The power-fighting ghetto blaster of yore is reborn” with the MP3-compatible TDK 3 Speaker Boombox. Featuring two 10-watt driver speakers and a “relentlessly thumpy 15-watt subwoofer,” this update on the classic schoolyard box overpowers all other iPod speakers. But an array of inputs means it can be used as an amp for most anything, including a microphone or guitar. The lack of wireless functionality is disappointing, but you’ll get style points for its illuminated controls and oversize aluminum knobs.
