Gossip: Ellen DeGeneres
DeGeneres has decided to quit American Idol after just one season.
Ellen DeGeneres has voted herself off American Idol, said the New York Daily News. Citing a workload that was “more than I bargained for” and a reluctance to “judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings,” DeGeneres, 52, made the decision to quit the popular talent show after just one season. Jennifer Lopez is said to be the likely candidate to replace the talk show host. The show’s producers also fired judge Kara DioGuardi, and will likely replace her with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
