Best websites for ‘green’ cosmetics
These sites sell natural and organic beauty products.
Beautorium.com sells only natural and organic beauty products that have been “vetted by Ann Francke, a former cosmetics executive with 20-plus years in the biz.” France’s popular organic line Melvita and Germany’s Dr. Hauschka are two brands that have earned her seal of approval.
Saffronrouge.com claims to be America’s largest online retailer of natural and organic skin care products. “If it’s not organic, it’s not here,” says founder Kirstin Binder.
ABChome.com is the site for Manhattan’s “home-furnishings mecca” ABC Carpet & Home, which recently added an in-store apothecary. You can browse through certified organic “treasures” such as Skinny Skinny soaps or Intelligent Nutrients toxin-free beauty products, then purchase through the store’s personal shopping department.
