Max Blumenthal’s “Fear” alleges that the Tea Party is a cynical political fabrication; Nir Rosen’s “War” contends Afghanistan’s reconstruction primarily benefits private contractors; Charlie LeDuff’s “Greed” travels from Detroit to Wall Street to Washington, exploring the economic meltdown; and Andrew Berends’ “Disaster” goes to Haiti for a skeptical look at how the media exploits catastrophes.
