A Massachusetts church is launching a religious service for dogs. The Rev. Thea Keith-Lucas of Calvary Episcopal Church says the monthly service will help parishioners “who have a rich spiritual life as pet owners’’ share their experience of God with their canine companions. She said that barking and whining will be allowed during the services. “We want dogs to be dogs,” she said.

A 39-year-old man is suing a San Francisco park for injuries sustained while using the slide in a playground. Blu Morris, a professional hairstylist, claims he injured his tailbone after riding a plastic tray down the slide at the Seward Street Mini-Park, and that the park owners were negligent in not warning him about “the improper drop-off/exit from the slide.”
