Gossip: Paris Hilton
Why Paris Hilton is downplaying her “lavish lifestyle” and party-girl image.
Paris Hilton is downplaying her “lavish lifestyle” to appear more down-to-earth to potential customers of her beauty products. A source tells the New York Post that the heiress “has realized that standing for excess in a recession doesn’t appeal,” and so she’s “ditching the pink Bentley” and party-girl image in hopes of increasing sales of her 15 lines of cosmetic and fashion products. Hilton’s image makeover is also being fueled by jealousy, specifically toward former friends Kim and Khloe Kardashian, who have been siphoning off money from public appearances that would typically go to her. “The Kardashian girls just seem more real,” said the source.
