Bloggers this week accused ex-baseball slugger Sammy Sosa of skin bleaching, after pictures taken at this month’s Latin Grammy Awards showed the Dominican-born former Chicago Cub looking several shades lighter. Rebecca Polihronis, a friend of Sosa’s, told the Chicago Tribune that Sosa’s light appearance was due to a combination of lighting and a “cleansing process” he’s applying to his skin. “He’s not trying to be Michael Jackson,” she said.
