Bid farewell to prime time as you’ve known it, at least on NBC. In a bold gamble, the network has cut back radically on scripted comedies and dramas, and will be airing Jay Leno’s new talk show every weekday at 10 p.m. A cross between a early-bird version of his Tonight Show and an old-fashioned variety program, it isn’t expected to attract many younger viewers. Perhaps to combat that, guests scheduled for the premiere include chart-topping musicians Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West, as well as Jerry Seinfeld. Monday, Sept. 14, at 10 p.m., NBC
