Girls body found

Homosassa, Fla.
Police this week found the body of a Florida girl three weeks after she was snatched from her bedroom. Jessica Lunsford, 9, had apparently been raped before she was murdered and dumped in nearby woods. John Evander Couey, a sex offender who had been staying down the street, was arrested and confessed to the crime. Police said Couey entered the home through an unlocked door, although he wasn’t sure how long he had held the girl before killing her, because he was in a “drug haze.” The girl’s father, Mark Lunsford, said Couey should “be a man now and take his death penalty.”
