18. Acqua di Parma Arancia la Spugnatura and Colonia C.L.U.B
If you’re shopping for a classicist with a penchant for woody fragrances, you can’t go wrong with Acqua di Parma’s Colonia C.L.U.B., which incorporates bergamot with zingy pepper for a fresh take on a traditional cologne. La Spugnatura refers to the ancient technique of using sea sponges to soak up the essential oil of a particular fruit. In this case, it is the “vanilla orange” or Arancia Vaniglia from Ribera in Sicily, which is known for its wonderful and distinctive mix of tangy citrus notes laced with a deep exotic kick of sweetness.
