Vincent Kompany’s announcement that he is leaving Manchester City is the main focus of today’s back page headlines.

The centre-half signed off in style after helping the Sky Blues make history by becoming the first men’s team in English football to win the domestic treble: the league title, League Cup and FA Cup.

Kompany lifted the FA Cup on Saturday following City’s 6-0 win against Watford at Wembley then yesterday the 33-year-old announced that he will become player-manager at Belgian side Anderlecht.
