A round up of the sport headlines from UK newspapers on 18 July
Steve Bruce has only spent one day as Newcastle United’s new manager but already it’s turning into a nightmare.
Newcastle fans have protested Bruce’s arrival and according to the Daily Express and The Sun it’s turning into a “wor” zone on Tyneside.
The Toon lost 4-0 in a pre-season friendly match yesterday against Wolves in China and Bruce’s former club Sheffield Wednesday are considering legal action following Newcastle’s appointment of the 58-year-old.
