1. Meghan McCain exits The View
After four seasons and countless hairstyles (which her hairstylist swore weren't intentional sabotage), Meghan McCain is leaving The View. She announced Thursday she wanted to remain in Washington, D.C., where she moved during the pandemic, rather than return to the studio in New York City. "I just have this really wonderful life here that, ultimately, I felt like I didn't want to leave," McCain said. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg told McCain it was "quite wonderful to sit across from" her. Unfortunately for viewers, McCain's exit signals the end of the iconic McCain-Goldberg moments, including Whoopi's viral "Okay," and when McCain learned about commercial breaks. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
2. Olivia Rodrigo reportedly has a boyfriend
Olivia Rodrigo finally has someone to ride shotgun. The 18-year-old singer introduced 24-year-old producer Adam Faze as her "boyfriend" during the Space Jam 2 premiere party at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California this week, multiple sources have revealed. "They were really cute together and weren't trying to hide their affection at all," someone who spoke to E! News said, adding that the new couple went on "all the rides" and were "holding hands at one point." Another witness assured that, unlike some people we know, Rodrigo and Faze were "really cute, but not too overly touchy." So, who is this Adam guy? Faze is a former podcaster and entertainment reporter, and now produces movies — but all that matters is that Rodrigo has given Faze the green light and "she seems really happy."

3. Kim Kardashian assures she didn't break the Vatican dress code
Kim Kardashian visited the Vatican this week, but if you believe that stopped her from wearing one of her signature revealing dresses, well, you're mistaken. The reality TV star was spotted en route to the Vatican City with Kate Moss while wearing "a tight lace dress with ovary cutouts," In Style reports, prompting Mercury News to wonder if the white ensemble was "intended to throw some shade at patriarchal church traditions." Elle pointed out that "traditionally, only Catholic queens wore white lace to the Vatican" — everyone else usually dresses in black — while there is a strict dress code for many of the most iconic spots in the Vatican City. Kim, though, assured on Instagram on Thursday that "I adhered to the dress code and fully covered up while inside St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel," while an eyewitness told E! that she "covered up in a long black leather coat."
4. Quentin Tarantino says only Bruce Lee's daughter is allowed to be mad at him
Quentin Tarantino is no stranger to controversy — in fact, you might call the two good friends. In due course, the release of his latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, in 2019 sparked criticism over the movie's mocking portrayal of Bruce Lee. Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee, spoke out about the movie at the time, calling it "really uncomfortable to sit in the theater and listen to people laugh at my father" since Lee's arrogant on-screen character was "not how he was." With the publication this week of the novelization of Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the director maturely and calmly addressed the controversy on Joe Rogan's podcast: "I can understand his daughter having a problem with it, it's her f--king father!" he said. "I get that. But anybody else? Go suck a d--k."

5. Prince William and Prince Harry reunite on Princess Diana's birthday
If reuniting with your estranged brother at your childhood home in honor of your late mother's 60th birthday doesn't put you in the mood to make up, what will? Prince William and Prince Harry attended the unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace Thursday, marking just the second time the brothers have appeared together publicly since Harry's royal departure. They released a joint statement that read, "Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy." The brothers attended solo, leaving more time for one-on-one bonding. While it's not clear that actually happened, a reality star psychic predicted it will, so we can rest easy.
