1. Prince George learns important life lesson about how sports will never love you back

As the future king of England, 7-year-old Prince George is presumably busy learning the kinds of things that a monarch needs to know, like how to wave and withhold displays of affection from his loved ones. But over the weekend, the young heir was taught an even more important lesson: that sports are cruel and will rip out your heart. Prince George attended the Euro 2020 finals on Sunday with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and was seen ecstatically celebrating when England scored an early goal against Italy. But when his team eventually lost the game during penalty shootouts, George was visibly "heartbroken," according to Page Six. Hey, it's best to teach 'em young that whatever fleeting joy might be gleaned from rooting for the Three Lions, it's only destined to be extinguished in the most soul-crushing way!

2. What is going on with Addison Rae's supposed reporting gig for the UFC?

TikTok celebrity Addison Rae claimed that "y'all got me fired" after she faced backlash this weekend for bragging about being a red carpet correspondent for the UFC ahead of the Poirier vs. McGregor 3 fight. Rae, 20, shared a photo on Friday on the red carpet, writing, "I studied broadcast journalism in college for 3 whole months to prepare for this moment," sparking outcry that she undeservedly got the job just for being famous. Rae followed up by tweeting she'd been "fired." E! News has a slightly different version of events, suggesting Rae did "one social activation for UFC where she interviewed Dustin [Poirier]" but that "she's not, nor was she ever, a correspondent." While Rae's tweet about being fired might've just been a joke, it'd admittedly not have been the first time she'd coasted to a cool gig on dubious merits.

Stranger Things season 4 might not have a release date yet, but Millie Bobby Brown is out here giving her fans all those sweet teenage romance feels anyway. Over the weekend, the 17-year-old actress posted a photo with her arm around Jake Bongiovi, using the hashtag #besties; Bongiovi, who is the son of Jon Bon Jovi, previously shared a picture with Brown and tagged it "bff" with a heart. In June, People also photographed the pair holding hands in New York — so admittedly, whether they're just really good friends or romantically involved is still a bit of a mystery. But like Eleven and Mike, whatever their official status might be, they are certainly super cute together.

4. The Rock almost missed a workout because of an unlikely guest

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had a little difficulty getting in his workout session this weekend. No, it wasn't because of a hangover or the Sunday scaries. The path to his home gym was blocked by a hawk with a snake in its talons. The actor shared a video of the encounter on Instagram, writing "It's either this hawk's Copperhead snake or my weekend workout." He signed off the video by saying, "If y'all don't hear from me in a few hours, well, you know I got my ass kicked by a hawk." But he let fans know how the story unfolded in the caption: "I tried to open the door with some firm DJ energy and instead of flying away, he got p---ed and hasn't stopped ka kaw'ng me since."

5. Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence could become in-laws

It's a match made in Hollywood comedy heaven. Eddie Murphy's son, Eric Murphy, and Martin Lawrence's daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, are dating. Their relationship is Insta-official, with Jasmin calling Eric "my love" in a birthday post over the weekend, and Eric writing, "Head over heels in LOVE with YOU." So, I guess you could say things are serious. We know Eddie and Martin shine as co-stars, but what would they be like as in-laws? It's not that big of a stretch — Eric referred to Jasmin as his other half. Imagine the family dinners!
