The daily gossip: Ariana Grande reportedly separates from her husband, Lindsay Lohan becomes a mom, and more
Today's top entertainment and celebrity news
1. Ariana Grande reportedly separates from husband Dalton Gomez
Ariana Grande now has another ex to be grateful for. The "Thank U, Next" singer and her husband Dalton Gomez are "heading toward divorce" after separating in January, TMZ reports. The news comes after Grande was spotted without her wedding ring at Wimbledon over the weekend, and TMZ notes the two have been apart since December while she has been filming the "Wicked" movie. "They came to the decision together," an insider told Page Six. "They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends." Grande and Gomez tied the knot in May 2021 after they reportedly started dating in early 2020. She was previously engaged to Pete Davidson, but they called it off before the wedding. According to Page Six, Gomez visited Grande on the "Wicked" set in London in a "last-ditch attempt" to save the marriage. But "it didn't work out," and now, the relationship has been changed for good.
2. Lindsay Lohan becomes a mom
This parent could probably use a nap. Lindsay Lohan has officially become a mom, welcoming her first child with husband Bader Shammas. The actress' rep confirmed to Us Weekly on Monday that she "welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai," adding that the "family is over the moon in love." Lohan announced her pregnancy in March, saying at the time that "we are very excited for our new family member to arrive and we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!" According to TMZ, she gave birth in Dubai, where she and her husband reside, and the outlet notes her child's name means "shield or protector" in Arabic. Lohan recently showed off her nursery, in which "everything is inspired by the beach and is so peaceful and playful." What a fetch way to start the week.

3. Miranda Lambert stops concert to slam fans for taking selfie
It's time to reset the "days without an incident at a concert" counter. Miranda Lambert stopped in the middle of a performance in Las Vegas to slam fans who were apparently taking selfies, according to a video shared on social media. While singing "Tin Man," Lambert announced she was going to "stop right here for a second" before singling out "these girls" in the audience who were "worried about their selfie and not listening to the song." She added that this is "pissing me off a little bit" and she doesn't "like it at all," gesturing at them to stop and then starting the song again. Though Lambert drew cheers in the room, she faced some criticism online, with one fan commenting that "this just seems mean spirited, even if that wasn't her intention." Besides, taking selfies with your cell phone is definitely preferable to hitting the singer with it, and at this point, the bar for good concert behavior is getting that low.
4. Bebe Rexha shares apparent text from boyfriend about her weight
Bebe Rexha isn't feeling alright about this. The "I'm Good (Blue)" singer took to Instagram to share what appeared to be a text from her (ex?) boyfriend Keyan Safyari, which seemed to suggest they broke up after he told her she gained weight. "I never said you weren't beautiful and I never said I didn't love you," the text reads. "...I always said I would be honest with you and your face was changing so I told you it was … that was the conversation we were having and you asked. Because I care, would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changes?" The text also states, "I gain 3 pounds and you call me chubbs and fat." Additional context wasn't provided, but Rexha previously said she gained weight due to polycystic ovary syndrome. "I know I got fat," she tweeted in June. "I'm just so sick of people talking about it. NEXT!!!!!!"

5. James Cameron promises not to make an OceanGate movie
The king of the world has some lines he won't cross. "Titanic" director James Cameron took to Twitter over the weekend to slam rumors that he's making a film about the OceanGate submersible disaster. A report from The Sun recently claimed that Cameron "is being tapped up to direct a drama series about" the implosion of the Titan submersible that was on its way to view the wreckage of the Titanic. "It is a subject close to his heart," a source told The Sun. But in a somewhat rare tweet, Cameron denied that he'll be taking such a project on, and not just because he's tied up directing about five million more "Avatar" films. "I don't respond to offensive rumors in the media usually, but I need to now," Cameron said. "I'm NOT in talks about an OceanGate film, nor will I ever be." Let's hope this will prevent those rumors from going on.
