1. ED MILIBAND: NO EU POLL WITHOUT CHANGES
Labour leader Ed Miliband has said the party would not hold a referendum on EU membership unless it was asked to transfer more powers to Brussels. Writing in the Financial Times, Miliband says he “strongly believes Britain’s future is in the EU” but wants to reform the Union, without the need for a new treaty.

2. LAST MESSAGE FROM MH370 WAS NORMAL
The last message from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, minutes before it vanished, was a reply to air traffic control that indicated everything on board was normal. The search for the plane, en route from Kualar Lumpur to Beijing, has now been widened to waters off both sides of the Malay peninsula. China says it is considering inland searches.

3. WORLD WIDE WEB IS 25 YEARS OLD TODAY
Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the British scientist who invented the World Wide Web 25 years ago, has marked its anniversary by calling for a bill of rights for users. On 12 March 1989, Berners-Lee presented the idea for an internet-based document exchange to his employers at Cern. They judged it “vague, but exciting”.

4. CAMERON'S STANDING OVATION IN ISRAEL
David Cameron was given a standing ovation by the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, during his first visit to the country as Prime Minister. He said his belief in Israel was "unbreakable" but also backed John Kerry's efforts to broker peace between Israel and Palestine. He urged Israelis to imagine what "this land would be like" if there was a lasting settlement.

5. G7 WARNS RUSSIA OVER 'ANNEXING' CRIMEA
G7 leaders have warned Russia over "annexing" Crimea and say they will not recognise the results of a referendum on splitting from Ukraine. The EU has threatened sanctions including asset freezes and travel bans for high-ranking individuals. The warnings come amid reports of a major Russian military build-up on Ukraine's borders.
6. NEW YORK APARTMENT BLOCK COLLAPSES
An apartment block in New York has collapsed after an explosion. At least one person was killed and 16 injured after the blast near Park Avenue and 116th Street in East Harlem, which reduced the five-storey building to rubble and severely damaged another. Grand Central station was closed as 170 firefighters attended the scene.
7. SLALOM SILVER FOR SKIIER ETHERINGTON
British Paralympic skiier Jodie Etherington has won her third medal of the Winter Games in Sochi, claiming silver in the visually impaired slalom. Etherington, 23, and her guide Caroline Powell led going into the final run, but were overhauled by Russian Aleksandra Frantceva. The pair have already claimed silver in the downhill and bronze in the super-G events.
8. 3D PRINTER HELPS REBUILD MAN'S FACE
A Cardiff man who survived a serious motorbike crash has had his face rebuilt with the help of a 3D printer. Stephen Power fractured his cheek bones, nose and eye sockets and smashed his upper jaw and skull in the accident, but plates and implants built with the help of a 3D print out of his skull were used to reconstruct his face.

9. PISTORIUS BROKE DOWN DOOR 'ON STUMPS'
Oscar Pistorius was not wearing his prosthetic legs when he broke down a door to get to his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp after shooting her, his trial has been told. That contradicts the Paralympian's witness statement, in which he said he was wearing his legs. A police forensics expert recreated the moment in court today and claimed Pistorius was on his stumps.

10. HOT TICKET: VIKINGS AT THE MUSEUM
The British Museum's Vikings: Life and Legend exhibition has opened in London. The show, focusing on the Viking Age from the 8th to 11th Centuries, features artefacts including swords, axes, coins, jewellery and a reconstructed Viking warship. "Stirring," says The Guardian. Until 22 June.
