1. May’s Brexit deak receives cabinet backing

The Cabinet yesterday voted – in some cases reluctantly – to back the draft Brexit divorce deal agreed between Theresa May and the European Union. There is now expected to be an EU summit on 25 November to formalise the arrangement, after which the deal will have to be agreed by MPs. May could face a leadership challenge within days, critics say.
