Williams FW42 F1 2019 car livery unveiling: videos and pictures
British team have a new driver line-up, colour scheme and title sponsor
Williams FW42 livery launch
After finishing rock bottom in the 2018 Formula 1 constructors’ championship Williams Racing will hope that their new car, the FW42, can drive them to better results this season.
Launched with its livery unveiling on 11 February in Grove, Williams’s Oxfordshire base, the new FW42 will take to the track at next week’s first pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
Since the end of the last campaign Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin have moved on which means Williams have a new driver partnership in Robert Kubica and George Russell.
This season will mark a fairytale return to F1 for 34-year-old Polish driver Kubica. He was left with severe arm injuries in a rally crash nearly eight years ago.
It is also a huge year for British rookie Russell as the 20-year-old will make his F1 race debut at the Australian Grand Prix on 17 March.
New title partners
It’s not just a new livery colour scheme and driver partnership that Williams will have in 2019, but also new title partners, phone company ROKiT. The team will be officially known as ROKiT Williams Racing.
