Feed your dog dry food and save the planet
And other stories from the stranger side of life
Scientists have said that feeding your dog dry food instead of tinned meat can help to save the planet, reported The Telegraph. Car manual returned to library 47 years late
A library in the US said a car repair manual borrowed in 1975 was anonymously returned along with an apologetic letter, reported UPI. The Washington County Library System said that Chilton’s Foreign Car Repair Manual: German, Swedish, Italian Cars, Vol. 1, arrived recently via the mail at the Lake Elmo Library. “It’s a little overdue, but I thought you might want it back,” the accompanying letter reads. “My apologies to anyone in Lake Elmo who was working on an old Benz in the last 47 years.”

A barrister was told off when he travelled to a court 150 miles from where he was meant to appear as defence lawyer because he got the wrong Newport. Pointing out that the defendant in the scheduled hearing had been brought across the Solent from the mainland for the hearing, the judge criticised the “very unsatisfactory” delay, noted The Times.
