Yorkshire pudding addict plans to eat 600 over Xmas
And other stories from the stranger side of life

A man is claiming the title of Britain’s biggest Yorkshire pudding addict, saying he eats at least 20 every day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Jake Farrar, 25, from Middlesbrough, estimates that he has eaten 146,000 puds in his lifetime and he plans to eat 600 across Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, said ITV. “Anyone who doesn’t eat Yorkshire Puddings on Christmas Day is just plain wrong”, he said.
Camels flee Bethlehem re-enactment
Three camels fled a live re-enactment of the Christmas story to cause traffic chaos in Australia, reported Metro. After opening the gate of their own pen, they were spotted strolling down Albany Creek Road in Brisbane. “Our camels got a bit lost on the way to Bethlehem! Gladly they’re back safe and sound now”, said Bridgeman Baptist Community Church. “Sounds like they couldn’t find any wise men at the church so they went looking elsewhere,” quipped a wag on social media.
Is Peanut world’s oldest chicken?
A US woman is asking Guinness World Records for recognition of her pet chicken, Peanut, who is believed to be the oldest in the world at the age of 20. “I’m hoping they’ll give credence to witnesses like my niece in her thirties who loved Peanut as a teen and a friend who moved to California 18 years ago and loved Peanut and was astonished when he moved back to see her again, among others,” Marsi Parker Darwin told the Sun Times News.
