A dig at an Aldi supermarket in Buckinghamshire has unearthed a Roman mosaic. The discovery of the “archaeologically significant” mosaic points to the existence of a high-status Roman house, or domus, said The Times. “You’ll be surprised at what you can get at Aldi”, said the paper, listing “groceries, power drills, inflatables, sewing machines” and a “Roman mosaic”.
