Too much exercise could lead to poor decision-making on what you eat and buy. Researchers asked elite endurance athletes to overtrain for three out of nine weeks, and compared them to a group who followed a normal program. They found that overtraining reduced athletes’ abilities to resist temptation of an immediate reward.
