Woman hatches ducklings from Waitrose eggs

A woman has hatched three ducklings from eggs she bought in Waitrose. Charli Lello from Hertfordshire said she put the Clarence Court eggs in an incubator as an experiment to pass the time after being furloughed. After they hatched, she said the ducklings would live “a very happy life” with her pet chickens. She has named the trio Beep, Peep and Meep.
Drive-thru KFC turns away man on horse and cart
A traveller says he felt “humiliated” after KFC refused to serve him at a drive-through that he entered on a horse and cart. When Ian Bell, 55, appeared at the kiosk window, a manager said he would have to leave for health and safety reasons. A KFC spokesman said: “We’re not looking to stir up trouble but the safety of our guests is really important.”

Library book returned 39 years late
A book has been returned to a Dutch library some 39 years late. The book was recently put back to the Gelderland Zuid library after being checked out in February 1981. Luckily for the borrower, the library caps fines at €5 (£4.45). The library's Twitter account posted: “Sometimes, as a library employee, you cannot believe your eyes.”
