UK stars target a record haul - and could even scoop an amazing 79 medals in Brazil

Team GB have been set the target of making the Rio Olympics the most successful overseas Games ever, by winning 48 medals.
They came third in the medal table four years ago, with 29 golds and a total of 65 medals. Now they plan to win one more than the 47 medals netted at Beijing 2008.
However, UK Sport believes the team could claim as many as 79 medals in Rio, which would represent an astonishing achievement. To achieve that, the big guns of the team will have to deliver. So who are the main Team GB hopes for gold at Rio 2016?
