Coutinho ‘not a Barcelona player’

The futures of Philippe Coutinho and Ernesto Valverde hang in the balance following Barcelona’s “shambolic” Champions League defeat against Liverpool, ESPN reports.

Former Liverpool star Coutinho is expected to be the first Camp Nou casualty after the horror show at Anfield on Tuesday. The Brazilian “is not a Barcelona player, that’s been made clear”, a club source told the broadcaster.

Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, said: “I am not sure that Mr Zidane wants him to stay but at the moment Gareth wants to stay. He has got a contract, he will quite happily see it out until 2022. According to Italian newspaper La Stampa, Serie A champions Juventus are set to part company with head coach Massimiliano Allegri. Their squad is also set for an overhaul, with the Daily Mail reporting that Paolo Dybala and Miralem Pjanic could be shown the door. Argentine forward Dybala has recently been linked with Manchester United.
