Eden Hazard’s long-awaited move to Real Madrid has taken a huge step forward after Chelsea agreed a €100m (£88.5m) fee for the Belgian international.
The Guardian reports that the two clubs reached the deal on Wednesday evening, with an announcement to be made in the next few days after contracts are signed.

Another player linked with Real Madrid is Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen. The BBC reports that the Danish playmaker has admitted he “might want to try something new” but has not ruled out extending his contract with Spurs.
De Gea to replace Buffon
Paris Saint-Germain have announced that Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will leave the club at the end of this month. The French champions are set to make a bid for Manchester United’s David De Gea as they look for a new No.1. (The Times)
Souness: Real and Barca could target Salah and Mane
Liverpool legend Graeme Souness believes that star strikers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane could be summer targets for Real Madrid and Barcelona. He said: “Real Madrid and Barcelona will be sniffing round Salah and Mane, and I think one of them will be targeted this summer. Both of those clubs are in the process of rebuilding and they tend to tempt any player when they go after them.” (Independent.ie)
Van Dijk deal
Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk wants a new contract and could be joined at Anfield by Dutch defensive team-mate Matthijs de Ligt.

United will reject Pogba bids
Paul Pogba has been linked with Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent months but according to reports, Manchester United will reject all approaches for the French World Cup winner this summer. (Daily Mail)

Swansea City winger Daniel James is having a medical today with Manchester United. The Welshman’s transfer fee is believed to be worth £18m. (Sky Sports)

Bruno Fernandes could also soon become a Manchester United player. The Red Devils will reportedly announce the Sporting Lisbon and Portugal star’s arrival after the Uefa Nations League final. Manchester City have also been linked with the midfielder. (Daily Star)
